Chante Black notched 13 points for the Blue Devils (19-3, 7-2), who saw their two-game win streak halted. Abby Waner gave 12 points and Jasmine Thomas 10 in defeat.

Duke took a 27-25 lead after the first half, but the home team rallied to outscore its guests 50-33 in the second half en route to the win.

The most interesting game of the opening week will feature the NFC champion Bears as they hit the road to take on the NFL’s top team during last year’s regular season, the San Diego Chargers.
